Habitat Surveys in Birmingham
Indigo Surveys are operational from Birmingham and provide a UK based Ecological Consultancy services. Our Ecologists provide advice specific to each site and take account of the current and potential features in respect of ecological contribution and protected species: we assist you in achieving defensible and cost effective solutions. The ecological importance of a site is typically assessed by undertaking an initial baseline Habitat Survey (Extended Phase 1 Habitat Survey), this should ideally incorporate Ecological Records Data from your local records centre; taking account of the wider surrounding area will guide ecological recommendations for improvement and can often assist in creating a more favourable application. We have a wide range of ecology surveys which form part of planning requirements, these include; advice in respect of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes, completion of Ecology Templates, Protected Species Surveys (Reptiles, Invertebrates etc.), Mitigation Plans and license applications to Natural England. Each ecologist is client focused and has suitable experience, qualification and license to undertake Habitat Assessments and protected species surveys such as Great Crested Newts, Water Voles and Bats (list is not exhaustive). Making sure that ecological advice is taken early on in a project can save considerable time and money. We provide cost effective solutions for ecological survey scheduling and ensure the optimum survey timescales for protected species are adhered to.
